PRODUCT INFO

Description

This is a lot produced using the natural anaerobic process at the Karamo Station, managed by Mr. Nigse Gemeda, with whom we have had a relationship since winning the COE-winning lot in 2020.
Grown in the cool terroir of Bensa, this wild native grape variety is fermented anaerobically while still in its cherry form, resulting in a rich, fruity sweetness reminiscent of fruit jam or red wine.
This wine boasts the distinctive grape flavor of this region, along with notes of raspberry jam and mandarin orange, a pleasantly smooth texture, and a lingering aroma of sweet spices.
This is recommended for those who like fruity flavors, so please give it a try.

About the farm

I've known Mr. Nigse Gemeda since I successfully bid on his winning lot at the 2020 COE (Course of Excellence) competition.
Bensa, a cool, high-altitude region within the Sidama province, famous for its coffee production, became instantly famous after producing winning lots in both 2020 and 2021.
He is now one of the essential producers for Sarutahiko Coffee's coffee.
