Description

- Tasting Profile

We would like to introduce the winning coffees of the 2025 Guatemala Cup of Excellence, which were judged by Sarutahiko Coffee's purchasing staff.
Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala's most famous and popular coffee-producing regions, and Hacienda del Café grows its coffee at an altitude of 2,300 meters, which is close to the limits of altitude.
This winning lot is a washed-processed Geisha coffee, and in addition to the vibrant freshness and flavor typical of the Geisha variety, its appeal lies in the complex impressions that emerge as the temperature changes.
You can enjoy the floral scent of rose and bergamot, and the sweet aftertaste with notes of citrus, grape, apple, and other fruits.

About the farm

Hacienda del Café is a project that began when the Perez family acquired the farm in 2015.
Initially, coffee beans were not produced in this area, so it was called an experimental farm. It seems that producing coffee beans was not easy due to the influence of the soil and weather, but it has produced good results, as seen in this COE award.
After the establishment of the farm, the possibility of combining coffee with tourism was discovered, and now the farm also has accommodation and offers farm tours.
