PRODUCT INFO

Description

- Tasting Profile

This coffee is from the Tom plot of the Altieri Farm in the Boquete region of Chiriqui Province, Panama, and is a Geisha variety, naturally processed.

The Geisha coffee from this region is characterized by floral, black tea, and lemon flavors, but this batch has been sweetened through natural processing, giving it a sweet lemon flavor.
The ripe fruit flavor, a characteristic of the natural process, combined with the gorgeous aroma of Geisha makes it taste almost like rosé wine.

This lot has undergone a natural process of slow drying for 40 days in a drying room where the temperature and humidity are kept constant.
The elements derived from Geisha and the elements derived from the process are interrelated, and this coffee allows you to feel the craftsmanship of Altieri.

Please enjoy the well-balanced charm that is the result of thorough quality control.

About the farm

Altieri is a family-run farm in Boquete, Chiriquí province, Panama, founded in 2005 by Eugene Altieri. It is located on the eastern slope of Volcano Baru, surrounded by the virgin cloud forest of the national park, at an altitude of 1,600 to 2,200 meters.

The name of the plot is said to come from the nickname of Eugene's grandson.

The coffee growing areas are located at an altitude where winds from the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans collide, creating a unique microclimate. Altieri's Geisha coffee, grown in this unique climate, has been highly praised at the Best of Panama competition and boasts an impressive award history.
