[Light Roast] Panama La Esmeralda Leon Geisha Washed

This is a 4FB lot of the Geisha variety from the Leon plot of Esmeralda Farm, which recently won three awards at Best of Panama in 2025.
The Geisha variety clearly expresses its characteristics thanks to its fiery mountainous soil, cool climate, and cloud forest terroir.
This particular lot is a classic washed-process lot, allowing you to fully enjoy the wonderful flavors that this variety and climate bring.
It has the scent of white flowers like jasmine, a refreshing aroma reminiscent of bergamot and lemon, and as the temperature changes, the sweetness increases, allowing you to even taste the flavors of fragrant fruits like peach and muscat.
Please take your time to savor the way the aftertaste changes, which is reminiscent of black tea.

About the farm

Esmeralda is widely known as the farm that first introduced Geisha to the world.
Despite being a renowned farm with numerous prestigious awards and frequent mentions of private auctions, they continue to refine the quality of their coffee without becoming complacent with their fame.
At the 2025 Best of Panama competition, we won first place in all three categories: Geisha Washed, Geisha Natural, and Other Varieties.
Leon is a plot located in Cañas Verdes, and it has a terroir with a dry season of 3-4 months and a cool climate.
This area was part of the original property purchased by the Peterson family in 1967. It was initially used as a pasture for cows, and later for dairy cows, and was apparently an area dotted with small coffee farms.
After the Geisha variety was rediscovered in 2004, the Peterson family began purchasing small plots around Cañas Verdes to expand their Geisha production.
Many of the award-winning Esmeralda Geisha dancers originate from this hilly region.
